Ha Ha Tonka State Park ~ Sundays With Steffi

Happy Sunday, Liberty Lovers!

I have officially been in Missouri for a week!! I am absolutely loving it. Ever since I started traveling to Missouri, I have been on a constant search for the “real” Ozarks.

The Ozarks are a collection of mountain regions located in five states: Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Illinois. The name “Ozarks” is derived from the French “Aux Arcs.”

This week, I visited Ha Ha Tonka State Park. The park is known for its geological features including: sinkholes, caves, a natural bridge, bluffs, and Missouri’s 12th largest spring. I explored the unique ruins of a stone castle, along with the Lake of the Ozarks and Ha Ha Tonka Spring. Beware, there are a lot of steps at this park!! My french bulldog companion, Calvin, was such a trooper on this adventure.

Missouri has so much beauty to offer! I can’t wait to explore more!!
