I know Joe Biden is suffering from severe mental degradation, but he realizes video is a thing right?

That’s a real question after Biden went on ABC to make a claim that ignores everything he said back in January about the Wuhan virus. There’s gaslighting, and then there’s whatever the heck this is.

Notice there’s not one ounce of pushback from the supposed “journalist” interviewing Biden here. That should have been a slam dunk, as his previous comments on the travel ban are widely known. On that point, let’s take a trip down memory lane, shall we?

President Trump banned travel to and from China (excluding U.S. citizens for obvious reasons) on January 28th. What was Joe Biden saying at the time? He was calling it “hysterical xenophobia” in a speech he gave in response to the move. He also asserted that taking the virus seriously was “fearmongering.”

Biden is now attempting to re-write history. Instead of being honest about the fact that he was busy playing social justice warrior while Trump was moving to contain the spread, the former VP wants to pretend that he knew all along how bad this was. He can’t run from the receipts though, and we’ve got plenty of them.

Ted Cruz also hit Biden on the same revisionism after another tweet got sent out positing that it was Trump who hadn’t responded properly.

While they will certainly try, Biden and the mainstream don’t get to rewrite their own history here. Not only were those two more worried about claims of racism early on in the Wuhan virus crisis, but Biden himself was part of an administration that completely destroyed the national stockpiles that could be saving more lives right now. While one could argue Trump should have gotten them re-stocked faster, there’s no argument that the Obama administration played a large role in any current resource shortages.

As Cruz said, no one’s response has been perfect here, largely because the situation was so fluid. There was no grand, infallible play to be made because China spent the first two months lying to everyone. Biden certainly doesn’t get to act as if he knew all along. He didn’t and the video doesn’t lie.
